AGD SCIENCESS

Sedikit pandangan mengenai AGD kali ni...mungkin saya bukan lagi exco SCIENCESS...anggap sahaja luahan daripada seorang student KoS yang mahu perkara2 ini dikawal pada AGD akan2 datang...

1) Kemunculan persembahan yang menampilkan genre lagu yang agak rancak...

Saya tahu ramai student KoS yang berbakat dalam bidang seni suara ni...tapi persembahan yang ditampilkan oleh 3rd year student yang membawa muzik rock dalam satu majlis yang dihadiri oleh DDSA,lecturer2 dan staff KoS kelihatan tidak kena pada tempat dan waktunya...bukanlah saya katakan yang saya setuju bahawa band2 seperti ini dibenarkan untuk program2 SCIENCESS akan datang, tapi saya mempertikaikan persembahan seperti ini "dihidupkan semula" pada majlis besar SCIENCESS.tambahan pula, program ni berlangsung di luar UIA.kita bawak imej universiti Islam.agak2nya, apala yang difikirkan olehh pekerja2 VISTANA HOTEL haritu pasal student KoS ni?hurmm.....

harapan saya, semoga lantikan baru SCIENCESSS kali ini lebih peka dan mampu merubah budaya yang terlalu menyanjung hiburan ini. Tidak salah untuk berhibur, tapi biarlah kena dengan status kita sebagai pelajar Universiti Islam....rasanya ada banyak lagi persembahan yang boleh dibuat selain "Band Performance" kan??

2) Penyertaan daripada 4th year student yang agak sedikit
Secara jujur saya katakan, pada mulanya saya sangat keberatan untuk pergi AGD kali ini...tapi bila terdengar berita yang commitee mahu menyambut bekas exco2 SCIENCESS dan 4th year student, saya mula menilai kembali keputusan saya untuk pergi...terbayang mungkin ada slot khas untuk exco2 lama untuk bekerjasama menjayakan program kali ni...tapi x sangka sangkaan saya meleset.x de pape pon yang ada kecuali makanan dan persembahan..kehadiran 4th year student juga agak kurang...kenapa ye? entah la...


3) Etika pakaian dan pergaulan antara brothers and sisters
saya setuju ngan pandangan saudara jazli...maka saya rasa, saya akan "qoute" pandangan Jazli untuk membicarakan soal ini...

pandangan Jazli:

"I'm not intentionally targeting the sisters when it comes to attire, but honestly, when do the brothers ever dress "inappropriately"? The brothers never dress without covering their aurat, and there is normally no problem with anything the brothers wear. But with the sisters, it's entirely different. Some, not all, some wear excessive make-up, some, again SOME dress with style being the more important influence rather than our Islamic principles. I understand that the AGD is the one time where sisters can express themselves and show off their fashion prowess, but it IS possible to be stylish without compromising your Islamic principles of dressing. Unfortunately, some wear their tudung without covering their chest, some wear tight clothes, some wear short sleeves, you don't have to do all that to be stylish. You can be stylish and still cover your aurat properly.

And of course with all the stylo-mylo dressing, we all want to take photos. This is an area where even I made the mistake of taking "couple" photos i.e. photos with one bro and one sis. Some might not see this as an issue, but really it is. I mean, there really is no good reason why a bro and a sis should take photos together, unless its like a group photo, a batch photo. I know sometimes its tempting to take photos with that special "someone" or to take photos with someone else whose attire matches your own, but we can do without it right? I mean its not vitally important.

Again I want to stress that I'm not targeting anyone in particular, just reminding everyone, even myself, that we need to improve our behaviour. Besides, by posting photos on FB, we allow many other people to see them, not just our friends. And because of that, some comments that I got were like "apa yang UIA-nyer...perempuan dressing tak tutup aurat pun" or "UIA boleh eh amik gmbr cpl2?".

When our university is an Islamic university, the students should reflect that. And we need to remember that we don't only reflect on the university with our actions, but our actions more importantly reflect our religion.


Teringat kembali seawal saya diberi amanah untuk menjadi wakil dalam SCIENCESS... ada feedback daripada student yang mengatakan program2 SCIENCESS tidak Islamic...dan saya rasa semua exco2 SCIENCESS juga beikrar untuk cuba mengikis tanggapan sedemikian...tapi adakah pelaksanaan kita tepat dengan ikrar tersebut?

Saya bukan menyalahkan siapa2...saya tahu pihak2 pimpinan sedar tanggungjawab mereka dan mereka cuba sehabis baik...dan diharapkan student2 lain juga sedar perkara ni...students KoS adalah cerminan kepada SCIENCESS...kalau baik students2 KoS, baik jugalah SCIENCESS...
